What is my approach to this blog?  Recipes featuring locally grown food weighted toward Michael Palin’s mantra, “Eat food, not much, mainly plants.”  Advice on how we can easily return to basics, avoiding as much food processing as possible and still eat better for less.  The fantastic secrets of leftovers, which got us through the last great depression.  Advice on what kitchen utensils are essential, really helpful or just fun but indulgent. Anecdotes about the history of food.  Did you know that until recently almost every culture on earth used a fish sauce?  Well, stay tuned, because another feature will be cooking secrets you’ve never heard before.  And there will be attitude as well.

My current plan is to post a new blog every week, Sunday mornings.

So check it all out and post your feedback.
